Jewel of Skyland - Pinot Noir 2019
Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Clara County
Jewel of Skyland is a one-acre, dry-farmed vineyard located in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA and planted to a variety of clones of Pinot Noir. The 2019 vintage was partially destemmed and fermented on native yeasts for fourteen days, then pressed by hand. A natural malolactic fermentation occured in barrel, and the wine aged twelve months in 25% new French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered at the winery by hand, we produced just four barrels of this wine, 113 cases.
